NY SALEM — Economic Development Committee reviews solar farm Option Agreement, pursues $817K in regional grants. The committee received an Option Agreement from NYPA for a potential solar farm, which town attorney Matt Fuller and committee members Sue Clary and John Bardwell reviewed separately, submitting questions back to both the developer and the town's legal counsel. Grant funding totaling $817,000 is in development for infrastructure projects including a Salt Shed, the Brinemaker and Barn, and sidewalk improvements for a Pedestrian Connection Plan.

The Northeast Rail project advanced with the transfer of the Salem Depot from Canadian Pacific to Northeast Rail via Quit Claim deed, forwarded to the town's lawyer for filing.
