Salem Economic Development Committee advances comprehensive planning, land banking initiatives

NY SALEM — Salem Economic Development Committee reviewed progress on multiple initiatives including a 15-month Master Comprehensive Plan beginning with an initial meeting on November 21 and a land banking proposal advancing to state review after County approval. Sue Clary is pursuing sidewalk and storm drain grants from the Department of Transportation while also securing a $30,000 Greenway Grant for a rail trail feasibility study around the Greenwich Thompson Yard area. The sewer project, which received Town Board approval for site cost funds, is scheduled for contract signing in early 2026.
